21 Days Of Prayer

21 Days of Prayer

At Crosspoint we believe that prayer is an important part of our spiritual life and growth. We know that God hears us when I pray. We believe that prayer changes things, circumstances and people. When God’s people pray in agreement with one another, there is exponential power released from Heaven. God wants to move in powerful ways in our church, city, nation and world. We are confident that prayer plays an irreplaceable role in God’s will being done.

Day 1 – January 5 – Personal Forgiveness

Ask that God would show us our sin, that we would agree with Him about the areas of compromise and failure in our lives, and that we would repent and turn from our ways and follow His ways.

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Day 2 – January 6 – Corporate Forgiveness for our Church

Ask God to forgive our church for the ways we have walked by fear rather than faith, and comfort rather than conviction. Ask God to forgive and to change us to be more like Jesus.

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.” Galatians 6:1

“For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News?” 1 Peter 4:17

Day 3 – January 7 – Forgiveness for the sins of our Nation

Our nation has wondered far from our spiritual roots. Ask God to convict us, forgive us and bring revival in our nation.

“Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation: Instruction will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations. My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm.” Isaiah 51:4-5

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.” Psalm 33:12

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Day 4 – January 8 – For the Lost of our Community – that many people will come to KNOW GOD

Crosspoint exists to make disciples of Jesus. We are his representatives, his witnesses to the world, beginning with right where we live. Pray that we would be faithful to share the Good News of the gospel where we live and to all we know that many will come to know God.

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.  Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Day 5 – January 9 – That people whose lives are touched by Crosspoint Church will FIND FREEDOM.

Pray that we will be set free from our past and from anything or anyone who controls us, other than God’s Spirit. Pray we will see many others set free by the power of God as well.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

Day 6 – January 10 – That the people of Crosspoint Church will DISCOVER THEIR PURPOSE.

Day 7 – January 11 – That the people of Crosspoint Church will choose to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in their church, their family, their lives and their world.

When we know our purpose and fulfill it by serving others, we live in devotion and obedience to God and know His full power and favor on our lives. We, through the power of God, are equipped to make a big difference in our world. Pray that, as a church, each of us would settle for nothing less than making a difference in our world.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Day 17 – January 21 – Our Leadership (Elders & Staff)

Pray for unity, protection, strength and direction for those who provide leadership, oversight and protection to our church.

“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.” Hebrews 13:17
