Communication & Conflict Resolution:
Can you relate to these statements? …“We get along great until we disagree. Then the daggers come out.” “I can’t believe how ugly it gets.” “I don’t even remember what started the argument.” In this session, we’re going to learn how to keep our sense of “us” even when tensions rise. We will develop awareness and skills that help us move through conflict AND stay on the same team.
For many couples, the topic of intimacy, especially sexual intimacy, can be uncomfortable. However, sexual intimacy is the only thing that significantly separates your marital relationship from any other relationship. God created marriage as a sacred place to share all aspects of intimacy, but busy schedules, medical issues, mental health issues, medications, insecurities, and more can drive a wedge in sexual intimacy. These same issues can also impact spiritual intimacy. In this session, we will be discovering some practical ways to increase, maintain, and prioritize the sexual and spiritual intimacy in your marriage. This session is ideal for couples in any stage of marriage who wish to improve their intimacy.
Mental Health & Marriage:
Mental health is a significant factor in our overall well-being. Mental health issues can impact a marriage directly or indirectly through a spouse, family member(s), children, or friends. In this breakout session, we will share valuable information on mental illness, its impact on marriage, and practical information and resources for mental health management.
In this session, we will focus on the impact of financial stress in marriage. It will include practical tips on how to work toward financial unity and peace. This session is ideal for anyone in any stage of marriage.
In this breakout session, we will explore the different types of blended families and the unique challenges that they face. We will also share some practical advice and resources for building a more successful blended family. Whether you are a single parent thinking about re-marrying, planning to marry someone with kids, already a blended family, or would like to better support a blended family you love, this breakout will be relevant to you.
