OUTREACH

Outreach refers to any partnerships or serving opportunities we do within our local community and surrounding areas.

Each year we, along with many other churches world-wide, participate in SERVE DAY. This day was created to encourage everyone in churches all across the country to get out and all serve their community together…and that is exactly what we do on this day each year!

FOSTERING HOPE

Fostering Hope ministry helps connect those with a heart to serve to the foster care community. God calls us all to take care of these children, and even if He doesn’t call you to foster or adopt, He does have a place for you to help!

  • God has uniquely equipped every person to help care for the more than 6,000 children in the greater Houston area foster care system.

If your family is called to foster, know that Fostering Hope at Crosspoint Church is here to serve and walk alongside your family.

If fostering is not your next step, we welcome you to join our team of volunteers who walk alongside families who are in the trenches of caring for vulnerable children.

We also host our very own Foster Closet, here on the Crosspoint Church campus. The closet offers clothing, shoes, baby gear, and (when available) beds/dressers at no cost.

The families served by Fostering Hope include:

    • Licensed Foster Families

    • Adoptive Families

    • Kinship Care / PMC FamiliesFBSS Families Referred by Their CPS Caseworker

    • Families Referred by Local Social Service / Food

    • Bank Organizations as a Prevention Measure

    • Youth in CWOP Living In Pearland

    • Local RTC Facilities

Join the Foster Closet team who serves both when the closet is open, assisting families shop, and when the closet is closed by organizing donations and cleaning.

Use the time, talents and treasures God has given you to serve the foster care community - we are happy to help you identify a way to serve.

HEARTS FOR THE HOMELESS

H4H ministry serves those who call the streets of Houston home. We go out the 3rd Saturday of the month to provide physical needs like food & clothing, as well as spiritual needs like worship & sharing the Gospel.

  • Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-39, “Love the Lord you God with all your heart and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”

The goal of the Hearts for the Homeless Ministry is to LOVE them by igniting spiritual growth through meeting the physical, nutritional, and spiritual needs of those who call the streets of Houston home.

Each month our team heads downtown to offer a hot meal, snacks, coffee, haircuts, and essential items along with live worship and message.

Essential items are typically seasonal and can include things such as backpacks, clothing, shoes, sleeping bags, and toiletries.

We are always looking for donation of these items as well as new team members to help facilitate the serve. We have serving opportunities such as sorting clothes and food prep during the week at our warehouse, located on the our campus. As well as on the weekends at our actual serve events, the third Saturday of each month.

MISSIONS

Missions refers to any partnerships and serving opportunities we do outside our community, all across the US and globe.

Empowering Peru is what we call our partnership with Compassion International and the Iglesia Bautista Independiente Mosoq Ñan church in Totora, Peru. Over the last few years we have greatly invested in this community, the church, the families, and children.

  • In December of 2021 we rasied $25,000 to help overfit a Child Development Center in this church. The money helped train staff, purchase neccessary equipment, and prepare students to start attending. At this center they will be cared for nutritionally, educationally, and spiritually.

In August 2022 we were able to Sponsor all 105 children who would attend this center. Sponsors are able to connect with their child to provide prayer, love, and financal gifts.

This April 2025 we will have our first Mission Trip to Peru to see first hand the impact God has made there!
